We have called this method, developed by Agricomseeds’ Research Department and which is a company trade secret, Massive epigenetic selection correlated to critical yield biotic and abiotic factors. This is now the basic selection pillar in our nurseries, allowing us to detect materials with phenotype characteristics related to the best homozygote genotype governed by 10 or more genes including the different epigenetics in segregators S3 to S7(which is equal to finding the best individual among 1,048,576 plants more that the specific epigenetic variation for the typical factor that is sought). This is something that was impossible with the current methods used in autogamic plants.
This has allowed us to develop: - Early materials in Rust tolerant soybeans. - Sorghum with a high number of grains. - Sorghum that is over 6.5 m high for ethanol. - Drought tolerance in sorghum and soy beans.
